Police are investigating two cases of armed robbery among them a tavern in KwaNobuhle on the night of 9 December 2018.

On Sunday, 9 December 2018 around 22:30, it is alleged that five men armed with firearms stormed into a tavern in Pepeta Street, KwaNobuhle. The gun wielding suspects started threatening patrons and employees and demanded cell phones and cash.

Suspects stole cash, liquor, a laptop, a monitor and several patrons’ items such as cellphones before fleeing on foot.

The second incident, on Sunday, 9 December 2018 around 6pm, three armed suspects entered a house at Sixth Avenue, KwaNobuhle. Suspects held a couple at gunpoint and tied them. Suspects ransacked the house and stole undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene. Hours later, victims managed to free themselves and contacted the police.
