Centane Police is investigating a case of arson after Ncedisizwe Senior Secondary School at Cebe Village, Centane was burned down. It is alleged that the school was burnt during the night of Thursday 2 August and Friday 3 August 2018.
The management of the school left everything in order on Thursday 2 August 2018. Four classrooms were left open as some learners were having afternoon studies. The principal of the school was alerted telephonically during the early hours of Friday 3 August 2018 that the school was on fire.
Information technology machines and school furniture to the value of R95 000 were destroyed in the fire.
Two offices were also burnt. No suspect/s has been arrested yet. Anyone with information about this arson is kindly requested to assist Centane Police at this number 047 498 5400 or Crime Stop 08600 10111.
