On 14 April 2018 at 07:00 Sgt Schoeman and Cst Diniso of the K9 Unit acted on positive information on dealing in dagga inside an informal settlement at Pola Park.

The house was searched and a 33 year old suspect was arrested for dagga that was hidden in the ceiling in a plastic bag. The weight is 0,458kg and the street value of R455,00.

The Aliwal North K9 Unit is also contributing to the “Safer Schools Programme” and aim to address the importance of being visible at schools and divert them in being SAPS friendly and drug free in order to ensure that our schools are a place of safety for the learners.

The Cluster Commander Brig Xakavu applauded the K9 Commander Capt Jantjies and his team for the good work and requested all the stations to follow in this crime prevention endeavour!
