It is alleged that on Friday 23 July 2021, at approximately 17:15 a 31-year-old male was found in a pool of blood by a passer-by at Dauglas Smith Highway Duncan Village who then contacted the police.
According to the information received at the scene, earlier on today the deceased had chased away suspects who were trying to burn a Spaza shop in Duncan Village but then the suspects followed the deceased and stabbed him once in his upper body and he collapsed. He was certified dead by paramedics on the scene.
The deceased’s next of kin was present at the scene and the body was removed by a pathologist after all the necessary preliminary investigation was finalized at the scene. A case of murder has been opened.
