40 Arrests as crime wave continues, King Williams Town cluster

More than forty suspects were arrested in various areas in King Williams Town for crimes ranging from assault, robbery, drunk and disorderly, theft, robbery with firearm, drunken and driving, stock theft, contravention of Protection order, burglary residence, burglary business, house breaking, rape and murder.

In a joint operation Police managed to arrest a 24 year old suspect for business robbery, Police have conducted these operations as part of their crime preventions. Another two suspects were also arrested at Izele for house breaking and Police also confiscated an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police also embarked on a special operation where they focused on closing down all the illegal liquor outlets that are operating in the Ndevana area.

King Williams Town Cluster Commander Brigadier Luntu Ngubelanga commended the members for their great work they do in reducing the crime in King Williams Town and surrounding areas. The King Williams Town Cluster Police members conducted an operation over the past weekend and managed to arrest suspects and less cases were opened. He also thanked the community for sharing valuable information with SAPS and encouraged them to report any criminal activities to 08600 10111.
