4 Business robbery suspects arrested, Kwanobuhle

Immediate response from SAPS Kwanobuhle members resulted in the arrest of four housebreakers at a shop in Kwanobuhle during the early hours of 24 January 2021.

It is alleged that at about 02:30, the complainant, aged 30 was asleep at the back of his shop in Makapa Street when he woke up to noises inside his shop. He immediately contacted the police and alerted them of the break in.

Four males armed with knives entered into his sleeping area and demanded money. Cash, groceries and airtime was taken. The suspects returned and while inside the shop, police arrived.

The four suspects, aged between 25 and 27 years old were arrested and positively identified by the complainant.

They are detained on charges of business robbery and are expected to appear in the Uitenhage magistrates’ court on Monday, 25 January 2021.
