Detectives from the Provincial Organized Crime Investigation Unit are on the hunt for two male suspects who allegedly shot and killed two security officers on the afternoon of 22 February 2022, at about 16:35 in Kwazakele.
It is alleged that the two security officers were escorting a company truck to a depot in Marongo Street, Kwazakele. The driver of the truck was going to do deliveries and the security officers, who escorted the truck, stopped directly behind the truck.

The names of the victims will be released once formal identification was completed.
The suspects are unknown and detectives are currently following up on all possible leads.
A case of murder with two charges is under investigation and the motive is yet to be established.
