SAPS Motherwell detectives are seeking the communities’ assistance in tracking down and arresting suspects involved in a double murder which took place on the night of 23 May 2022 in Motherwell.
It is alleged that at about 18:50, the driver, Siyabulela Olayi (29) and his passenger, Ulundi Mpulu (23) were driving along Tyityaba Street, NU10, Motherwell when another vehicle came from behind and started shooting at their vehicle.
They allegedly lost control of their vehicle and collided with a container on the side of the road, after which the suspects continued shooting at them before speeding away.
Both men were seriously wounded in the attack and sadly succumbed to their injuries.
At this stage the motive for the murders and the suspects are unknown.
