Bethelsdorp detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in tracing the suspects allegedly involved in the murder of two males and the attempted murder of three men early on the morning of 9 July 2021.
It is alleged that at about 04:35, approximately six unknown males were looking for one of the victims in Qunu in the Bethelsdorp area. Shortly after that, gunshots were heard at a house.
Two males, aged 21 and 32 years, were found fatally wounded inside a house while three other males, aged between 22 and 26 years, were wounded. The wounded victims were taken to hospital for treatment. Names of the deceased are withheld until their next of kin has been notified.
The motive for the shootings and suspects are unknown at this stage.
