SAPS Gelvandale arrested two alleged house robbery suspects early Tuesday morning, 12 October 2021 in Gelvandale.
It is alleged that at approximately 01:00, morning the complainant who resides at Elk Street, Gelvandale was woken up by a noise and noticed three suspects in her bedroom.
The suspects fled with a 42 inch television and her Huawei cell phone.
The complainant woke up the other occupants in the house and while they were waiting for police, the suspects returned. As police arrived on the scene, they were informed that the suspects returned and a description of the suspects were provided to them.
SAPS Gelvandale with the assistance of Public Order Policing, patrolled the area in search of the suspects.
They received information that the suspects were hiding in a house in Pienaar Street, Gelvandale. Two suspects were arrested and the stolen television recovered.
The suspects aged 19 and 20 were arrested on charges of house robbery and will appear in the Gelvandale Magistrate court during the week.
