Two inmates from Grahamstown Correctional Centre in Makhanda escaped from the facility on Saturday, 12 December 2020, at about 15:45. The offenders, depicted in the photos, are Lonwabo Ngqokoqwana (36) and Zuko Luzuko Lizo Makhanda Gxasheka Sabatha (37). The inmates are serving sentences for rape, assault, kidnapping and stock theft.
The circumstances which led to their escape is being investigated.
Members of the public are cautioned not to make any attempts to apprehend these escapees as they are considered extremely dangerous. Anyone with information is requested to contact Grahamstown SAPS on 046 603 9152 or call Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or submit information through MySAPS App.
