Two retail stores in a shopping complex were robbed cash and cellphones on Monday, 19 July 2021 in Duncan Village, East London.
It is alleged that the manager of one store and her assistant had just opened the door preparing to open the shop to customers, when two armed suspects stormed into the shop and ordered the two ladies at gunpoint to lead them into the office and open the cellphone and money safe for them.
The victims were to comply and the suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and a number of cellphones.
In the same complex, three more suspects robbed two cellphones from security guards. All five (5) suspects then fled the scene on foot. No shots were fired and nobody sustained any injuries.
