An 18-year-old teenager will appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate Court on Wednesday, 24 August 2016, on a charge of rape, murder and hijacking.
The suspect was arrested on Monday, 22 August 2016 in KwaZakhele, Eastern Cape.
On Saturday, 13 August 2016 at about 21:30, two students aged 21 and 28 years old were hijacked.
The 21-year-old woman was raped and the 28-year-old man murdered at a beach in Port Elizabeth.
The deceased’s vehicle was found abandoned a week ago in KwaZakhele.
Four suspects are still being sought by South African Police (SAPS).
