Lyttleton, South Africa – Shortly after Jana Baloyi, employed by Odette Lippold, arrived for duty at 07.50, she saw a suspect climbing through Lippold’s window with her (Lippold’s) jewel case in his hands.
He was on his way out after gaining entrance through a window with burglar bars.
Lippod’s eleven year old son was still asleep in the apartment, when the suspect gained entrance.
Baloyi stormed the suspect and knocked the case from his hands. The suspect then tried to get away by jumping a barbed wire fence.
Baloyi called the gardener of the complex, who followed the suspect and apprehended him.
The gardener phoned the Lyttleton police, who arrested the perpetrator.
