Cape Town – British murder accused Shrien Dewani was rushed from his Valkenberg Psychiatric Hospital ward for treatment after suffering an attack, believed to have been sparked by the screeching of his hospital bed.
According to the Sunday Times, a cleaner moved his bed on Friday which caused it to squeak. Dewani “freaked”, said a hospital employee. Doctors and nurses took him away for treatment and only returned him hours later.
Police and medical staff have been monitoring Dewani around the clock through a one-way glass window in his ward, reported the newspaper.
