Seven employees of the Department of Minerals Affairs have been arrested on charges of corruption.
According to Gwede Mantashe, the responsible minister, he is cleaning up “house”.
This follows after he closed two offices, one in the Eastern Transvaal and another in Limpopo because of alleged corruption.
Two officers were fired while seven others are going to appear in court.
