Aaron Motsoaledi has announced that the Department of Health will use the nearly 250 “doctors” who have just returned from Cuba after their training there.
This graduate and ‘wet behind ears’ doctors without any experience, will now help to get the proposed abortive National Health Insurance off the ground.
Those who have returned now must perform their “Ramaphosa” service in state hospitals for two years, and have to do another year of study at a SA university before doing community work.
Experts are skeptical about the “doctors” education and feel that they did not study medicine but only received training from Cuban doctors. A few years ago, the students made the news with their partying and some were sent back home.
