ANC deputy president David Mabuza reportedly told Ramaphosa to resign as deputy president of the country, and appoint Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma as deputy until the 2019 election.

However, some analysts believe that it is seen as a smart move to save its own boss and win favor at the Natal ANC, which threatens to report on Mabuza’s dubious operations.

Zuma fans also claimed, among other things, that if Zuma were to go, David Mahlobo and Bongani Bongo should remain in the cabinet.

These moves were presumably made to protect Zuma and his “fellow accused.”

However, Ramaphosa previously indicated that he chose Lindiwe Sisulu as deputy.
