Centurion couple robbed

South Africa, Centurion – A Centurion couple was robbed after being tied up with cables. Centurion police are searching for two men after a house robbery in Lyttelton.

Two men armed with knives tied up a couple in their Lyttleton home on Friday before making off with some valuable items. Police spokesman Warrant Officer Hero Gumbu said this happened in Kruger Street around 07:00 in the morning.

The robbers entered the house and threatened to harm the occupants if they tried to scream or resist. The intruders tied up the man and his wife with cables before stealing valuables and electric appliances. The man freed himself after they left. Gumbu urged residents to maintain tight security in their homes and to be always on the alert. Police were investigating.
