The liberal ANC follower, Carl Niehaus, has for the umpteenth time caught out in a lie.

This time, according to Sunday newspapers, he devised a “scheme” when he told a businessman whom he owed money to that his mother had died and that he would inherit, millions.

Niehaus apparently owes R4.3 million to a rental agency for two units in Sandton.

His 88-year-old mother is alive but lives in a retirement home.

False documentation was apparently prepared by Niehaus, including correspondence from a Sanlam director. Sanlam has confirmed that the documents are fake and referred the matter to their legal and forensic department.

It seems to be an apparent repeat of 2011 when Niehaus used a similar “attempt.” Then his father was in the picture.

Niehaus, currently serving the veterans of MK’s executive committee, also lied about it, as he was never a member of MK.

He had previously resigned from the ANC after he was caught out on allegations of fraud. Currently, he is one of the great supporters of Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma and wants to see her as successor to Jacob Zuma.
