Bloemhof protesters attack police : 7 April 2014

Several police officers have managed to escape unscathed after their broken-down Nyala vehicle was attacked by protesters at Bloemhof in North West on Monday. Police say the angry residents threw petrol bombs at the vehicle.

Houses belonging to police officers, officials of the Lekwa-Teemane municipality and mayor Moeder Makodi as well as the community hall were earlier torched by residents of Boitumelong township.
