The extremely radical and controversial leader of the Black First Land First (BLF) says there will be violence if the Independent Electoral Commission refuses to register its party for the forthcoming municipal elections of 2019.
He made the remark after it was reported that a movement or party like the BLF conducting hate speech and incitement to murder, in terms of the constitution, may not participate in an election.
He raised the threat during a media interview with reporters and said if the IEC prevented him from participating in the forthcoming election, violence would break out in South Africa.
Earlier, in a speech, he encouraged his audience to kill white people, which led to severe reactions from different sectors.
Meanwhile, it was expected that President Ramaphosa will act or at least give some utterances in this regard or a warning of sorts, but it did not happen.
