After how many times the assurances have been given that the government will not pump money back into the bankrupt state entities, the new Minister of Communications has now announced that her department is in talks with Treasury will see if there is no financial aid that can be given to given to the SABC.
The entity is short of R3.2 billion to stay alive and the survival of the SABC is apparently in the interest of South Africans as the broadcaster’s mandate is to educate, inform and entertain the “people of the country”
The abuse and continued theft of taxpayers’ money will seemingly never cease.
