In attempting political correctness, Absa proposed that two funds be established, one to fund urban projects and one for rural funding.
The rural fund aims to acquire more black controlled commercial farms, in other words to ‘fund blacks’.
The urban fund will help black property developers create affordable housing markets for their clients.
Economists point out that the so called previously disadvantaged people are helped to acquire farms, homes and businesses whilst whites, the present disadvantaged, are left on their own to acquire and pay loans.
