Bail denied for murder-accused

A man accused of killing and robbing the owner of a shop in front her children earlier this month has been denied bail at the Kempton Park Regional Court. He was believed to be a former employee at Annemarie van Zyl’s shop in Newton Street, Kempton Park, Captain Jethro Mtshali said at the time.

He allegedly entered the shop around 7.30am on a Saturday morning, withdrew a sharp instrument, and stabbed the woman several times. He then walked out of the shop with an undisclosed amount of money, Mtshali said.
