The Auditor General found that the Presidency contravened the Public Finance Management Act for the second consecutive year as well as the treasury guidelines.

The office of the presidency received a qualified audit report for the second consecutive year. Irregular expenses for the 2017/2018 year amounted to R33 million while R28 million was spent fruitlessly and wastefully.

According to analysts, it is shocking in the light of Cyril Ramaphosa’s so called efforts to indemnify government and state entities from fraud and tampering. If, as president, he can not even get his own house in order, how will he solve the rest of the country’s problems?
