Attacker died in swimming pool during farm attack

An unarmed man (51) fought for his life in the early morning hours on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 during a farm attack. The attacker died.

At 02:00 an alarm went off at the lapa, which is separated from the house. The victim went out to investigate thinking a cat set it off.

He was attacked by a man, about 25 years old. He was hit on the head during the fight. They both fell into the swimming pool where the battle continued.

He was stabbed repeatedly with a screw driver but he said he felt no pain, as the water was very cold and he was fighting for his life. At some point during the battle, the attacker’s body became limp.

His wife called Hi-Tech security, who informed the police and medical services.

The couple would like to thank Hi-Tech Security, the SAP and EMR for their immediate response.

The victim was taken to Barberton hospital where he was treated for many injuries. His eye and main artery in his neck was missed by millimeters. He sustained stab wounds to his left side, shoulder as well as bite marks on his arms. He is now on anti-retroviral medicine.

When asked whether they now consider moving from the farm, he said, “There is no way. You know, this is supposed to be a country of democracy, but we build walls and install electrified fences.

What happens to us?

I’ll tell you what is happening. We are imprisoned by building prisons around ourselves. No, I’m just staying here because it’s my property and my family’s home.”
