With the ANC’s launch of their election manifesto, it was pleaded that Treasury should see if pension funds cannot be used to help the bankrupt state entities.

Meanwhile, Mark Barnes the Chief Officer of the Post Office has supported the motion and said it would be a big move for the country. The prospective pensioners as well as current pensioners’ money must now be deposited in the bottomless pit of corruption and fraud of Eskom, Transnet, SAL, Denel, Armscor and others. No explanation has been given that these “loans” would ever be paid back or if payment can be guaranteed.

Can the ministers and deputy ministers as well as the parliamentarians pension funds not be used instead of that of the elderly people, is now being asked?
