ANC Spokesperson Mahlengi Bhengu has endorsed President Cyril Ramaphosa’s recent national address, stating that the President “hit the right notes” in speaking to the diverse concerns of South Africans.
In a reaction following the address, Bhengu acknowledged that, given the current climate, not every statement from the President would resonate uniformly with all citizens. She emphasized, however, that Ramaphosa’s message was deliberately crafted to appeal to a broad spectrum of the population.
“I think the president is actually really speaking to the hearts and minds of South Africans and is trying to really appeal to everyone,” Bhengu said. She added that the address aimed to ensure all voices are heard and that matters of significance are duly noted.
Bhengu also referenced commentary from Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma, indicating she had considered alternative perspectives before affirming the ANC’s supportive stance. Her remarks underscored the party’s commitment to inclusive dialogue and national unity.
The ANC Spokesperson concluded by reiterating confidence in the President’s approach, framing the address as a continued effort to foster listening, acknowledgment, and collective progress across the nation.
