The brutal murder of the elderly couple Esther and Hannes Kidson (both 69) from Westonaria would seem to be a hate murder, and as usual greeted with silence by the ANC government, said Adv. Anton Alberts, the leader of the FF Plus in Gauteng.
He said people who live on farms in South Africa remains one of the most vulnerable groups in the world to be attacked and killed with a murder rate of about 133 per 100,000 people. The average international murder rate is 7 per 100,000.
“The ANC’s silence on farm murders and the cruelty of it is shocking. The FF Plus is shocked by the brutality of the murders.
“The ANC government is silent in this regard, while quick to condemn any form of racism on social media and the perpetrators held accountable.
“Unlike the ANC the FF Plus recognized that serious crime also occurs in townships and ordinary citizens suffer heavy casualties, but the ANC is simply not prepared to recognize the seriousness of farm murders.
“The FF Plus in Gauteng will meet with the provincial police commissioner to seek lasting solutions.”
Adv. Alberts has called for rural security to be beefed up.
