It is so easy to accuse politicians of being idiots. Idiotic politicians making promises they can’t keep, can only get away with it if idiotic voters believe them.
Unfortunately the greater mass of the more than 40 million voters in the townships and rural areas are more than willing to give a vote in exchange for an empty promise. And that vote counts exactly as much as any other vote.
The ANC, EFF and BLF are 100% tuned into establishing a socialist state in South Africa. The liberals in the DA support a form of socialism as well.
The fact that socialism was a dismal failure in the Soviet Union, Cuba, Venezuela and elsewhere plays no part. These people believe they can do what nobody else anywhere else could manage in 100 years since the Russian Revolution.
If BLF can do what they promise, South Africa will be a land of milk and honey. You and I know this is complete bollocks. But the uneducated, unthinking broad masses streaming to the poll booths in 2019 might just believe this.
Which brings us to the point of asking: Are you going to cast your vote for self determination, free enterprise and human rights in opposition to this mockery of politics?
