A country which does not exist

Front National

Imagine the United Nations decide to have a meeting and create a new country. They take a map of the Mediterranean and draw a line. The new country will be known as the Republic of Mediterrania. The eastern part of Spain, south of France, Monaco and the west and south of Italy becomes part of the new republic. Crete is also included as well as the northern part of Egypt, Libya, all of Tunisia, north of Algeria and almost half of Morocco.

The new country will have three capitol cities: Barcelona, Tripoli and Casablanca. There will be a number of official languages: Spanish, French, Italian, Greek and all the different dialects of Arab. There will be Catholics, Protestants, Orthodox, Judaists and Muslims in the republic. The republic will have three monarchs as part of it: King Felipe of Spain, prince Albert of Monaco and the king of Morocco.

It will however, be a democratic republic in which the president will be elected by the majority, who is, co-incidentally the Arab nations. Therefore the president will be a Libyan and his entire cabinet will be Algerians, Moroccans and Egyptians. The people from Crete don’t want to be part of it, nor does the population of Monaco, who is somewhat wealthier than the rest because of their higher property values and their tourism.

The Egyptians and Algerians have freedom of movement and they claim all the rights to the French Riviera and the lands of Cyprus and Crete, because they argue that it actually belong to them and was stolen from them by the people now owning it. They set up shanty towns around Naples, Barcelona, St Tropez, Nice, Cannes and Monte Carlo.

Right in the middle of the republic lies Malta, it is not part of the Republic because it is part of the British commonwealth – but now it will be completely surrounded by another country. The coat of arms of the republic carries the motto: “Kita usa ka nasud nga wala maglungtad” – written in the Cetuano language so that nobody knows what it means and nobody can be offended by it.

Would such a plan ever be accepted by the Spanish, French, Italians, Cretans, or any other nation? Of course not – it is a recipe for conflict and crime and civil war, not to speak of a Human Rights disaster. In fact, such a country can only exist in the fantasies of a madman.

Right?

So why does the world accept South Africa – a country which does not even exist!

Let us look at the facts:

South Africa has 55 million citizens, plus 7 million illegal immigrants who “legally” trade and labour in the country, and can easily get hold of identity documents to vote. Of these 55 million people, only about 3,3 million pay taxes, while around 15 million depend on state benefits – more than the total active labour component of the country. More people receive social grants, than there are earning an income! And out of the total of 55 million, 7 million are HIV positive!

The country has 11 official languages, and three capitol cities: Cape Town, Pretoria and Bloemfontein. It is a Parliamentary Republic, but there are 13 royal houses, of which 7 kings rule their kingdoms and each earning a salary of $87264.28 per annum, paid by the tax payer.

The motto under the country’s coat of arms are: “!Ke E: Xarr // Ke”. Nobody knows what it means and hardly anybody even knows in what language it is written.

The voting system is one of “One man one vote”, which means that the vast majority of black voters (like the Arabs in my example above) elects the government by sheer force of numbers. Like the people of Monaco and Crete in the example, the white, coloured and Indian population provide the revenue, but has no right to determine their own destiny. They are merely part of a non-existing country.

What is even more is the fact that South Africa is compiled of two former, internationally recognized independent republics, two former British Colonies, a British dominium, 7 kingdoms and 10 former self-governing home lands. In the middle of South Africa you even have to complete sovereign states, Swaziland and Lesotho (exactly like Malta in my example)

Now my question to the world would be: If the Republic of Mediterranea sounds like a lunatic’s fantasy, why is the Republic of South Africa any different?

It is a country which does not exist and cannot exist because there is nothing that holds it together. No common culture, language, religion or goal. Just a fantasy.

Right? So then, why can’t the world recognize the right of the different nationalities in this madman’s republic to divide it according to the natural definitions and borders based on ethnic and social principles and grant the peoples of this region the right to self determination?

Would the Spaniard, Italian, Frenchman or Monegasque willingly become part of the Republic of Mediterranea? I sincerely doubt that. Well, neither do we want to be part of a fantasy anymore. We want our freedom and we ask you to recognize that and help us to achieve that.
