In the first fifteen days of October 2022, there have been nine farm attacks and 1 farm murder in South Africa, during this period one farm attack was successfully averted.
During the month of September 2022, there were fifteen farm attacks and seven farm murders in the country. During August 2022, there were fifteen farm attacks and three farm murders.
During the month of July 2022 there were fifteen farm attacks and seven farm murders.
On 17 July 2022, the FF Plus condemned farm attacks and murders saying, ‘Farm murders in South Africa are out of control’ this after the brutal attack that took place in Kestell in the Free State in which seven people were killed.
For the period 1 January to 31 December 2020, on average, a farmer in South Africa was murdered every 4.7 days. There were 77 farm murders and 446 farm attacks, that is an attack every 1.2 days, in the country.
The police continue to refuse in making theses atrocities priority crimes.
