During the month of March 2021, there were thirty six farm attacks and five farm murders in South Africa. Two farm attacks were successfully averted during this period.

During the month of February 2021, there were seventeen farm attacks and three farm murders in the country and one farm attack was successfully averted.

During January 2021 there were twenty one farm attacks and three attacks were successfully averted.

During December 2020, there were thirty three farm attacks and ten farm murders in the country.

For the period 1 January to 31 December 2020, on average, a farmer in South Africa was murdered every 4.7 days. There were 77 farm murders and 446 farm attacks, that is an attack every 1.2 days, in the country.

Black leaders who regularly call for the killing of farmers need to be made accountable.
