16 Days of Activism continued for no Violence Against Women and Children

SAPS TO HAND OVER A HOUSE TO AN ELDERLY WOMAN AS PART OF 16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM FOR NO VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND CHILDREN

“Count me in: together moving a non-violent South Africa forward”

The South African Police Service (SAPS) will continue with their programme of action for the 16 Days of Activism for no Violence Against Women and Children on Friday, 8 December 2016 in the Klipgat area in the North-West Province.

The aim of the day is to advocate and raise awareness against the negative impact of violence against women and children on members of the community and to educate the community at large.

The activities will be wrapped-up by the official handing over of a house built by the SAPS’s Women’s Network and Men for Change to an elderly woman and her orphaned eight grandchildren.

Members of the media are cordially invited to attend the event.
