Non-profit organization, Scientology Volunteer Ministers have now donated 200,000 hours of volunteer work since lockdown started in March to assist the people of South Africa with sanitization. Being aware of the threat Covid19 can cause, they have dedicatedly worked 12-15 hours a day, 7 days a week as part of their humanitarian work to help mitigate the spread in the country.

With a team of 286 volunteers, including about 40 pastors of various religions who recently joined the Volunteer Ministers in their task, they have worked non-stop to assist essential services as a priority so they can continue caring for the country and its people.

They sanitized more than 7000 buildings including government offices, army bases, municipality buildings, clinics and hospitals, Metro Police Stations and busses and train stations such as Park station which they sanitized throughout the night. This does not include then 200,000 taxis which they have sanitized at the tune of 13,000 a day.

“It is hard work, sweat and tears at time but seeing how vital it is and how people really appreciate the work, the tears dry up quickly and we keep at it,” said Sandile Hlayisi, Public Affairs for the Scientology Volunteer Ministers. “But overall, it is thrilling and exciting. When we see how much we can assist our President, our country and its people, everything is worthwhile. We are proud to assist,” did he add.

Many who have been helped are laudatory about the work the Scientology Volunteer Ministers have done since lockdown. South African celebrity film actor Peter said, “From myself and on behalf of all South Africans, we are truly grateful and appreciate the help from the Scientology Volunteer Ministers.” A Brigadier from Cape Town said, “Your assistance to the various entities in the country is so huge, it cannot be quantified in words.”

A former staff from the Ministry of Women wrote, “Excellent, noble and exemplary is the work of the Scientology Volunteer Ministers.” An anti-drug volunteer wrote, “This is absolutely fantastic work you are doing. I don’t think you can quantify the good this is doing in our country and Africa as a whole.”

“We are empowered with the Volunteer Minister technology written by L. Ron Hubbard more than 50 years ago for South Africa. This comes with a big responsibility. And we use it at the service of our fellowman with pride and dignity,” Hlayisi ended with.
