This year’s festivities pay homage to the remarkable legacy of female-driven leadership at Steenberg, from its formidable founder, Catharina Ras, to its current inspiring team of female leaders, including the Cellarmaster, Executive Chef, and Managing Director of Hospitality.

In commemoration of Women’s Month, Steenberg’s renowned restaurants, Tryn and Bistro Sixteen82, proudly present a selection of Women’s Month dishes. This dining experience not only celebrates the spirit of women but also contributes to the meaningful causes championed by Taking Care of Business (TCB). As a kind gesture of support and solidarity, for every dish sold, the restaurants will donate R15, and for every bottle of Flagship wine purchased (including website sales), the Tasting Room will donate R10 to the charitable endeavors of TCB, supporting their vital initiatives.
On Women’s Day, which falls on Wednesday, the 9th of August, Steenberg Farm will be raising a glass of their Steenberg 1682 Pinot Noir Cap Classique to all the women visiting the farm on this special day, to honour and celebrate their individuality.
Steenberg Spa is excited to announce their wonderful promotion for August. Treat yourself to any spa experience, knowing that R10 will be donated to Taking Care of Business for every treatment you enjoy. Your participation in this initiative directly contributes to the empowerment and upliftment of women, in harmony with the essence of Women’s Day.
Notably, the pinnacle event of the celebration, the Creator’s Dinner, is scheduled for the 30th of August at 18:30 at Bistro Sixteen82. Hosted by the culinary talents of Executive Chef Kerry Kilpin and Steenberg’s Cellarmaster, Elunda Basson, the intimate food and wine pairing dinner assures an opulent symphony of the senses. Guests will indulge in an exceptional four-course paired dinner, with Kerry masterfully presenting the artful plating of each course, while Elunda shares captivating insights into the perfectly paired wines.
As part of the celebration of creativity with purpose, the Creator’s Dinner will feature the presence of two celebrated female creators, MeandB and Crystal Birch. Both distinguished artisans will showcase a selection of their most cherished exclusive items, symbolising the strength, resilience and extraordinary contributions of women to the realm of creativity.
The proceeds from the Creator’s Dinner will further fortify the support for Taking Care of Business, with R50 per ticket being donated to this charitable cause. This event represents a unique occasion to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
