The summer sun imparts an adverse effect on hair by damaging the hair cuticles thereby posing numerous hair problems like frizziness, dry scalp, dandruff, dust, split ends, etc. Extra attention should be paid during summers as our tresses require more care in summers. This also applies for those with blonde curly hair, whether you were born with blonde hair or you dye it up at the salon, so as to keep the color from turning brassy, and protecting your hair from UV rays this summer. Keep your hair healthy and shiny throughout summer with these simple hair care tips.

  1. Coconut Oil

There are many wonders of coconut oil! This oil is perfect for penetrating deep into the hair shaft, in particular for those with fine or thin hair. Apply a tablespoon of coconut oil to the ends of damp hair. Sometimes the oil might be solid; you can only just warm it in the microwave until liquid before you apply it.

  1. Avocado hair mask

Mix 1 mashed ripe avocado with one tablespoon of honey and two tablespoons of olive oil. Apply the creamy mixture to your hair and leave it there for 20 minutes. Wash it out with a gentle shampoo.

  1. Olive oil and honey mask

This mask is made by mixing olive oil and honey in equal parts. Honey is rich in vitamins and therefore adds shine to your hair while olive oil gives your hair the needed moisture. Apply the mixture starting from your ends towards the scalp. After applying, cover your head with a plastic wrap and put a warm towel on top of it. Leave the mask on for some 30 minutes, then shampoo out and rinse well. You can use this mask once a week.

This lemon mask will make your hair beautiful and shiny! Squeeze two lemons and massage it into your scalp. Leave it on for about 20 minutes and then wash it away. The lemon will act as an antiseptic, and it will improve the circulation of your scalp instantaneously.

  1. Dandelion, Apple and clay mask

With a mixer blend one tablespoon of dandelion root, one small cup of water and one sliced apple. Add to the mixture three tablespoons of green clay and the juice of 1 lemon, and blend it until the mask is homogeneous. Keep the mask on for about 60 minutes and then wash the hair with shampoo.

  1. Fenugreek mask

This is a great recipe to get rid of dandruff. You must soak a small cup of fenugreek seeds overnight. The next day grins the soaked seeds and then apply the mixture to your hair. Leave it on for some 20 minutes and then wash it away with a mild shampoo.

  1. Papaya mask

Take a ripe papaya, remove the skin and seeds and then blend it. Add a cup of yogurt and apply it on your hair. Keep it on for about 30 minutes and then wash it away.

Other homemade hair care products that can add enhancement to your hair are the use of tea, espresso and avocado fruit mixed with milk and mayonnaise. Hair forms can tell the entire personality of a person and add visual appeal, so you need to keep it shiny and healthy as well.
