Zevenwacht Mall, a beloved community hub in Kuils River, recently conducted an Animal Food and Blanket Drive to provide much-needed support local animal shelters. In collaboration with the “Winter Blanket Drive” organization, the campaign was a resounding success, ensuring that animals in need received essential supplies and affection.
The Animal Food and Blanket Drive, organized by the centre, exemplifies their commitment to making a positive impact on the community. Through the generous contributions of shoppers and the support of partnering businesses, this initiative aimed to improve the lives of animals in shelters in the surrounding area.
The campaign resulted in the distribution of food, blankets, and treats to four deserving animal welfare organizations: HART – Helderberg Animal Rescue Team – Western Cape, Change for the Better Foundation, Mdzananda Animal Clinic and Aniwell South Africa. In total, each of the beneficiary organizations received 34 blankets, 10 packets of food, as well as a selection of treats and biscuits, ensuring that the animals in their care are comfortable and nourished during the upcoming months.
This remarkable effort would not have been possible without the support of the mall’s community and several local businesses. Zevenwacht Mall would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the following businesses for their generous contributions to the project: Game, Pep Home, Spar, About Cats & Dogs, Panarotti’s, The Crazy Store, and Radio Eersteriver.
