  1. Check the doors of the house regularly as they provide security to the home as well. Check the doors and hinges, the wood and all the material in the door.
  2. If you have a clothes dryer, make sure that you are cleaning its filter at least once every year so that it keeps on running well and it does not get clogged at all.
  3. The house furnaces also need cleaning and maintenance therefore you must clean their filters quarterly or as recommended by the furnace manufacturers.
  4. Test the main power supply of your house as well in order to ensure that the power goes off when the switch is turned off.
