MiCaffè, a stylish new coffee shop, is ready to welcome you and bring a touch of fashion and design-led luxury and the stylish Italian coffee culture to the Cape Town coffee scene. MiCaffè offers a premium caffè menu consisting of single-origin coffee beans roasted into two sensational blends, Aromatica and Intenso, the highest-scoring coffee blends in SA according to the board of Specialty Coffee Association of America. A refined, hand-poured designer chocolate selection is on offer, created by artisanal chocolatiers in keeping with MiCaffè’s standards and preferred flavour profile. Authentic Milanese gelato and sorbet is complemented by the #1 best tasting mineral-rich water in the world, sourced from a Sardinian region ranked as one of only five = ‘Blue Zone’s, for their link to exceptional longevity. Freshly squeezed orange juice pairs beautifully with a selection of pastries and snacks created using the highest-quality ingredients.
Founded by friends Justin Miccoli and Mike Casey-Smith, MiCaffè was established in honour of Miccoli’s Italian heritage and Casey-Smith’s appreciation for the city of Milan – the Italian capital of fashion and coffee.
The stylish black and white interior is modern, minimal, and inspired by fashion, urban environments and of course a fine cup of coffee. A giant Biscione statue welcomes you as you enter the café, depicting a “biscia” or grass snake devouring a devil whole. The Biscione symbolises the triumph of good over evil: A friend to all citizens, he evokes a sense of protection and civic pride in Milan – a city that leads the way in fashion, design, and of course coffee.
Guests can choose to enjoy their coffee at the counter, seated either inside or outside or alternatively order online and enjoy the products at home.
