
Festive corporate packages and Christmas lunch at Appetite Restaurant, Time Square
Deck the halls with mistletoe, sleigh rides and candy canes, there are three festive corporate packages available from 15 November to 20 December. Whether marking a successful year or celebrating team achievements, every dish on these Christmas-inspired menus bursts with festive cheer.
The Mistletoe package (R295 p4 person) includes table tapas like marinated olives, baked chicken wings, a twist on traditional magwinya with confit turkey and cranberry, and BBQ pork ribs. Main courses include Chalmar sirloin, turkey piccata, line fish and roasted cauliflower steak. Finish with gin and tonic tart, chocolate torte or New York-style mango and passion fruit cheesecake.
At R345 per person, the Candy Cane package has starters of cauliflower soup, salt and pepper squid, and chicken liver pàté, followed by Charmer rump, line fish, Durban lamb curry, and roasted cauliflower steak. Desserts are the same as the Mistletoe package.
The Sleigh Ride at R450 per person starter are beef tartare, avocado Ritz, Caesar salad, and cured salmon. Joining the main courses as per the Candy Cane package is a spicy prawn and mussel dish topped with chorizo soil and parsley gremolata in a white wine and lemon butter sauce.
Tiramisu, Amarula malva pudding are on the table along with the cheesecake and chocolate torte.
Christmas Day with family and friends
Skip the kitchen prep and long hours of cooking, and instead savour more time with your loved ones around the table.
Appetite’s Christmas Day menu is R585 per person, and begins with delectable things like prawn cocktail, a charcuterie and cheese station, smoked and cured fish station, a build-your-own salad bar, and freshly baked breads.
At the carving station, load your plate with roast turkey, stuffing, chipolata sausages, gammon, roast beef, lashings of gravy, duck fat roast potatoes, and more. Each dish is a nod to timeless Christmas favourites, reimagined with Appetite’s signature flair.
Desserts are just as lavish (you might want to book a room for a post prandial nap): dark chocolate and pear tarts, Amarula and coffee fruit cake, gingerbread cheesecake, profiteroles, Christmas Yule log and stollen are just a teaser of what will be on offer.
