Apollo Brands PTY LTD, official distributor of Under Armour South Africa, is thrilled to introduce two exceptional athletes who have joined the Under Armour family. These individuals have established themselves as prominent figures in the South African football industry through their impressive performances on the field.

These two players have proven themselves on the field, and as a brand who sets the bar high in terms of quality and standard, they do the same with their ambassadors which is why the proud new athletes are a fitting match.

Football players are modern-day warriors, fearlessly charging onto the field and battling for victory with the strength of their bodies and the power of their minds .

Excited to have them represent the brand, known for its innovative and highly advanced fitness apparel, Under Armour proudly introduces the following two professional athletes to the Under Armour arena:

  • Professional Football Player, Kegan Johannes (SuperSport United)
  • Professional Football Player, Robyn Moodaly (JVW Football Club)

Their passion for the sport and commitment to excellence perfectly align with the Under Armour brand ethos and nature, making them the perfect sporting figures to represent the brand going forward.

Kegan Johannes, who attended the Lamda Institute at Ajax Cape Town Football Club lives by the motto “always work hard, you never know who is watching” which for the 22-year old football player rings true as he caught the vital attention and eye of the Under Armour South Africa team.

First and foremost it’s a great privilege for me to be signed to the Brand secondly it gives me a more positive outlook on my minor achievements thus far and provides me with more mental motivation to persevere and work even harder.

The SuperSport United talent goes on to highlight some of his greatest career achievements to date, such as being named Captain for the National U/23 squad and the Bafana COSAFA Cup squad. He was also named the Urban Warrior and U/18 Player of the Year in the same year, which not only highlights his calibre but also emphasises why he emerged as the top selection in the Under Armour athlete selection process.

Secondly, but by no means second in talent, the Under Armour team welcomes Robyn Moodaly; born in East London, but set her sights on the world!

She began to play football, as she was growing up, describing it as “being in my genes” which ultimately proved true in fashion as she has since gone on apply her trade for the Under–17 nation women’s squad as well as being a part of the South African selection at the 2010 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. She made her debut for the Senior National team aged 16 in January 2011.

To add to her already impressive resume, she was also included in the 2012 and 2016 South African Olympic Squad in London and Rio de Janeiro, respectively. Her latest achievement is representing her national side at the 2023 Turkish Women’s Cup, where they proved triumphant and walked away as the cup champions.

Being a part of the UA team means everything, this is such an amazing brand. It portrays an active lifestyle ,exciting and inspiration personality. It’s a privilege and a honour to be working with UA being the first female athlete in the football industry. I’m grateful and can’t wait to see what the future holds.

As a midfielder, Robyn currently plies her trade for the JVW Football Club in the HollywoodBets Super League. She has been described as having a “soft touch, accurate passing, and the ability to control the game from the centre.”

Two new faces, two new talents, and two new sets of individuals to watch in the upcoming months – what more could we ask for.
