To attain world marathon recognition, a pivotal requirement entails the participation of 15,000 runners in a marathon event. This ambitious objective necessitates the collective involvement and successful completion of the 42.2km Sanlam Cape Town Marathon on October 15, 2023.

- Rally friends, family, and running communities – entries close on 30 September or until sold out
- Enter the 42.2km Sanlam Cape Town Marathon on October 15, 2023
- Start, run and finish the marathon in your choice of adidas Running Footwear – this will be monitored along the route
