Exciting news today, a new beginning for a trio that has been performing and recording together under different guises.
Yolanda Fyrus, DJ Invizable, and Dubmasta China share a vibrant history of song making and performing together for more than 12 years. Having first met as part of the group Gazelle (with Xander Ferreira at the helm – and along with collaborators Grenville Daniel Williams on Bass, Darren Petersen on Drums and Andre Geldenhuyson Guitar), they developed a special passion for the music they were so deeply immersed in.
When Gazelle folded, the three continued on their musical journey and became an integral part of The Champions of the Sonarverse, which included 3 members from Mr Cat & The Jackal – JC Visser on Bass, Jacques Du Plessis on Drums and Gert Besselsenon Guitar. The trio has transformed themselves into a new incarnation that is set to break ground on the musical terrain. It is with great pleasure that we introduce our new project called ZAFARI to the world! New sounds, new vision, new creative direction, born out of a process of evolution of three individuals determined to make a mark at home and abroad.
