THE RAND SHOW 2022 – A WIN WIN

While a wet Winter seems to have come early to Gauteng, spirits were not dampened, as thousands flocked to this year’s Rand Show. After a two-year interruption due to COVID, visitors were thrilled to get out and share an enjoyable day with family and friends. As visitors and exhibitors enjoyed the win of beating the lockdown blues, other winners included entrants to a number of competitions that were running at the 2022 event.

The Jacaranda Clash of Kitchens saw a fierce but friendly race to find the most talented amateur chefs serving the tastiest dishes. Team 415, consisting of Thato Mokua and Thabiso Zondo, were the winners, with Cajun chefs MacDonald Satikge and Tebogo Friendly Malele taking second place and the Boere Bokkies – Annele Botha and Mariné Botha taking third place.

Lucky entrants to The Rand Show lucky draw saw scooters being won by Hlamulo Baloyi and Johan Fritz, with Huawei smartphones being won by Gavin Naicker, John Maina and Michael Viera.
