Mmasea PeTje Announced As The New Host Of Ignition TV’s ‘Garage Gold’

Ignition TV’s popular series ‘Garage Gold’ is revving up for a brand-new season this week – and it’s got some major surprises in store. The new season sees popular 947 radio presenter Mmasea PeTje join the team as the new host alongside Francisco Nwamba who are set to thrill viewers with their eclectic approach to presenting.

In the show’s upcoming season, Mmasea and Francisco will take viewers on the ride of their lives as she gets an inside look at some of the country’s exceptional classic and vintage cars. The series continues to focus on motoring events across the country while also getting a glimpse into the hidden gems people around Mzansi have lying in their garages.

Mmasea is a massive petrolhead and she is excited to showcase her passion for cars in the show’s brand-new season. “I’m super excited to be joining ‘Garage Gold’ this season,” Mmasea says. “It’s a whole new adventure for me and more than that I finally get to share an exciting part of myself that not many people have been privy to.”

The radio presenter adds that she’s looking forward to showing viewers a different side of her – one that she has been passionate about for a very long time. “Anyone who really knows me knows how much I love cars – I always have. But, because I’ve always been boxed into a stereotype, I’ve never really had the chance to explore that side of myself. So, this is almost like a break-free moment or one of those ‘allow me to reintroduce myself’ moments and I can’t wait to share it with everyone.”

The new season premieres this Saturday at 12pm on Ignition TV (DStv Channel 189) and promises to bring something different and fresh to the table. “I always have incredible time on set. I worked with an amazing team and I think it’s safe to say that this is like no other car show out there – we’re breaking the rules and it’s exciting.”

Her new stint as presenter of ‘Garage Gold’ sees Mmasea continuing her upward trajectory as one of the country’s freshest new faces and promises fans will get to see a whole lot more of her in the coming months.
