“Teaching children about the natural world should be treated as one of the most important events in their lives.” – Thomas Berry, cultural historian.

After months of restricted movement, many children have missed out on the fun of meeting new friends and the simple pleasure of getting their feet dirty out in nature. Fortunately, Dingo’s Wildlife Club is back on the weekend 4 and 5 December 2021 at Cotswold Downs in Hillcrest, giving kids the chance to live, learn and love the natural world!

This is the 5th year for Dingo’s Wildlife Club which is run by the innovative South African conservationist, Dingo Dinkelman, whose YouTube channel has been viewed millions of times by international audiences. In addition to creating popular wildlife shows, Dingo and his committed team of environmental crusaders are involved in ongoing conservation projects, training programmes and the school roadshows.

“We’re so excited to be bringing back Dingo’s Wildlife Club, particularly after the really challenging year we’ve all had,” said the enthusiastic father-of-three. “For these two days, the kids get the chance to get out and explore the eco-estate forests and grasslands, get some mud between their toes and learn about wildlife. More than ever, our children need to become wildlife warriors and through this club, we’re empowering them with the knowledge and tools to protect their future.”

The team at Dingo’s Wildlife Club facilitates a comprehensive wildlife experience where they teach the youngsters about various facets of conservation, and oversee safe interactions with a number of different animals. The club attendees get to know more about the endangered animal species, the threats to the natural environment and what they can do, as well as embarking on epic bug hunts and excursions.

Dingo’s Wildlife Club is open to children aged 5 to 12 years and will run on Saturday, 4 December and Sunday, 5 December from 9am to 3pm. The cost is R300 per day or the discounted rate of R500 for both days. Places are limited so book now to reserve a spot by emailing [email protected].
