Rising star, singer, and songwriter Flowzbevtz teamed up with long-time friend Jay Ur Mate to deliver a dusty Kasi, AmaPiano soundtrack titled NGEKE. This 66 soundalike carries unique but addictive chants and is the stuff dance floor hits are made off. Already making its way to the township scene. NGEKE is expected to be a local favourite. The song has been growing online since its release and has been playlisted on different radio stations in South Africa.

Speaking on the track, Flowzbevtz said, “When I was making the song, I was telling myself that “Ngeke ngize ngihluleke” meant I would not fail, so I saved the project files as NGEKE. The name stuck. And now we are selling NGEKE t-shirts”.

Also, a sensation on stage and currently the biggest act from Newcastle, Flowzbevtz’s 2022 EP Shortleft Amapiano Street saw his single Madadeni make it to the biggest AmaPiano playlist on Spotify, i.e., AmaPiano Grooves. He is now working on a follow-up project, Short Left AmaPiano Crescent, which will feature Bassie, MusiholiQ, and SAMA nominee Paul K.

Flowzbevtz (real name: Sifiso Sphesihle Kunene), a 21-year-old from Madadeni in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa Flowzbevtz has been making music since the age of 15. “I lace the beat and I rock the flow”, he describes his process.

A proud ambassador of his hood, Newcastle, Flowzbevtz writes songs, makes beats, sings, raps, and produces trap, hip-hop, and the South African staple sound of AmaPiano.
