Burger King, the global fast-food chain, recently announced a collaboration with the worldwide gaming franchise Call of Duty on its biggest launch of the year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.

The collaboration has seen Burger King launch Call of Duty meals (for a limited time) where customers score a free BK Operator Skin and one hour of Double XP (2XP) for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. In addition, a Burger King Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II gaming roadshow has been taking place across South Africa where customers stand a chance to play a time-trial version of the game at a BK gaming station and receive a ranking on a leader board, going into an additional draw to win cool prizes such as gaming headsets, gaming monitors, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II game, Burger Town T-shirts and meal vouchers.

The roadshows will culminate in exclusive and epic Going-Dark events taking place at the Burger King N1 City in Cape Town on 25 and 26 November 2022. The Going-Dark events are a once in a lifetime opportunity to participate in the ultimate Call of Duty Modern Warfare II experience where the game will literally be brought to life and the environment will be transformed into a Call of Duty Modern Warfare II zone – a first of its kind experience in South Africa. Guests at the event will have the opportunity to experience the “Ghost Tunnel” – a completely dark environment in which they will wear military grade night vision goggles in a time challenge to light up targets using a laser, to unlock the code to the mission case to win spot prizes.

From there they can also enter the NXTLevel Zone, a Call of Duty inspired area with three specific challenges: a bean-bag grenade throw; an obstacle course and booby trap crawl; and a time-trial gaming zone. Customers can also interact with their favourite Call of Duty characters portrayed by local actors.

These unique experiences will run from 19h30 to midnight on both the 25th and 26th November at the Burger King N1 City. The events promise to be great fun with additional chances to win high-end gaming headsets, monitors, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II game, Burger Town T-shirts, and meal vouchers.

Anyone who gets down to Burger King N1 City and orders a Call of Duty Whopper King Box meal until 26 November 2022 can use their till slip to qualify for the Going-Dark event experiences on either the 25 or 26 November 2022. Not for persons under 18 years of age, ID verification will be required to participate in the experiences. Full Ts and Cs can be found here.
